Biscuit and the Squirrel

Today there was a squirrel in the yard that was dumping birdseed out of the birdfeeder onto the ground and then he was eating it up. Boy.. did that make Biscuit MAD! She wanted the squirrel out of her yard. Everytime the squirrel would start to eat up the seed, Biscuit would chase after it. This got to be quite a game between Biscuit and the squirrel. The squirrel would 'sneak' into the yard. It was funny to watch it creep into the yard on its belly. When Biscuit thought the squirrel had too much yard time, she would go tearing off the deck to chase it away. Biscuit would then hang out next to the fence and by the feeder for awhile to make sure it didn't come back. On her way back to the deck, Biscuit would turn around and check the feeder several times to make sure the squirrel hadn't creeped its way back into the yard. This went on for over an hour. It was so funny to watch! Finally, Biscuit figured out if she stayed at the fence for awhile, maybe the squirrel would try to enter the yard while she was still there. Sure enough. The dumb squirrel tried to sneak into the yard just a few feet away from where Biscuit was at the fence. When Biscuit took off after it, boy did she scare the crap out of it. We haven't seen it since! :) Our feeders are safe. We certainly don't need one of those fancy squirrel-proof birdfeeders. All we need to do is let Biscuit loose. :)

My First Mother's Day

Today was my first Mother's Day and the first time Caitlin slept all night (from 9 pm to 7 am). What a great present!! We had breakfast at Perkins with Grandpa and Grandma and Uncle Michael. Caitlin got me a card and some flowers. :) Here she is in her cute little mother's day dress:

Haven't written for awhile

I haven't written much for awhile. It's hard to find the time somedays. Our house is still just the foundation. They hope to have the framers out there today or tomorrow. They have been busy and just haven't gotten to us yet. We hope to see some progress very soon. We traded our SUV for a hybrid. We really like it so far. It gets a lot better gas mileage than our other one. Caitlin is growing like a weed, of course. She is almost in 3-6 month clothes, I just can't believe it.
