The Milk Sign
Caitlin has been using the milk sign for quite awhile now. It was her first sign and for awhile, 'milk' meant everything. We just had to take it in context. Well, now she knows a few more signs, so milk means milk. This morning she came over to me and started signing, so I got her some milk in her sippy cup. She took a drink and kept signing milk at me. Then she started using 2 hands to sign milk. I kept saying, "you have milk, is there something else you want?" Then she started to get crabby. I finally figured out that 'milk' meant milk in a bottle! She didn't want her sippy cup, she wanted a bottle. Silly me.
